Year-round care
What Happens To Your Lawn Each Season
Spring
The season that decides the year. Feed early, get the dead moss out, and the grass thickens before weeds get a look in.
- Spring fertiliser
- Scarify out thatch & moss
- First selective weed control
- Cutting resumes, edges done
Summer
Peak growth and peak stress. Air and water need to reach the roots, or the lawn burns off in the first dry fortnight.
- Summer fertiliser
- Aeration to relieve compaction
- Wetting agent in dry spells
- Fortnightly cuts, growth regulated
Autumn
Warm soil, reliable rain. The best window of the year for repairing bare patches and building next spring's root system.
- Autumn fertiliser, low nitrogen
- Overseed thin & worn patches
- Second moss control
- Soil conditioner & topdress
Winter
Nothing grows, so this is when problems get found. Standing water dealt with now saves a ruined spring.
- Leaf and debris clearance
- Drainage & waterlogging checks
- Edges and borders tidied
- Next season planned with you
Testimonials
Real Lawns, Real Reviews
Approached DSM having seen their page on Facebook – having been frustrated with the service provided by a competitor – I was desperate to try something new. Davie and his team promptly came to my property – identified the issue's and carried out a full treatment within a few days. My lawn has never looked so good & healthy – I have signed up to the treatment only plan for a few months and will continue…
ClarkeGoogle reviewFabulous company, Davie and his team have treated my lawn and I am delighted with the results. I now have a maintenance plan and they regularly treat the grass for a very competitive price and I would thoroughly recommend them.
NicolaGoogle reviewDefinitely recommend this company to get a new lawn laid. David offered great advice, fixed a few snagging issues to make sure the job was perfect and will be keeping an eye on the grass for a whole year to guarantee the work. Definitely worth getting the guy out to quote and to offer advice on the first instance.
