This Dalkeith lawn was full of coarse grasses and mare’s tail, one of the hardest weeds to shift once it takes hold. Rather than lift the lawn and re-turf, we killed the whole thing off, scarified the life out of it, then topdressed and overseeded. Four weeks on it had come back as a brand new lawn, at around a quarter of what a full re-turf would have cost.
