Rather than lift the lawn and re-turf, we killed the whole thing off, scarified the life out of it, then topdressed and overseeded. Four weeks on it had come back as a brand new lawn, at around a quarter of what a full re-turf would have cost.

Lawn Turnaround in Wallyford
We only took this Wallyford lawn on in July. It had got away from the owner: long, seedy grass with weeds coming through and no stripe left in it. A few visits later, with regular cutting to bring the height back down, feeding to thicken it up and weed treatment as things appeared, it's dense, green and striped. Two months, a handful of visits, and it's a different garden.
